Sergeant Spoons and his sidekick Lieutenant Ladle are two comical characters dressed in military marching band uniforms which are adorned in spoons: spoon medals, large spoons on the hats, a bullet belt full of spoons etc.

These two characters walk-about the streets playing the spoons, clowning and getting people involved in impromptu egg and spoon races and other challenges and teaching passers by how to play the spoons in an attempt to recruit members to there spoon-army.

This fun act brings streets to life inviting passers by into a fun imaginary world and also has an educational/workshop twist of learning the spoons which we think is a great accessible way for everyone to enjoy learning to play music. New recruits can also be invited to join the festival parade.
