This one-day archaeology event will look at what we can learn about past lives and environments from the evidence from human remains.
Professor Joann Fletcher, Patron of the festival and world-famous Egyptologist, Professor Charlotte Roberts and Dr Stephen Buckley will talk about their work with human remains. We will find out about how advances in aDNA studies, isotope analysis and the deposits on bones and teeth are providing startling insights into health, diet, mobility and genetics. A final in-conversation and Q&A chaired by Marie Woods will explore the issues raised in the talks.
