In 2001 graduated artists began Blandscliff Gallery/Studio to sell theirs and others work. With the help of friends, artists, family, the disused shop was repaired, painted, scrubbed, cladding removed, replaced with decorative grills from old iron gates.
Easter 2002 saw the gallery opened by Heather Stoney (Lady Ayckbourn). This tradition continues ever since.
2002 started the painting of intricate murals on retaining walls and buildings - this rather neglected and graffiti-tagged street became the colourful residential and small business street of today.
The gallery, still artist-run, sells affordable, unique and inspirational works.
