Inspired by Beckett's Worstward Ho, this performance is a unique blend of heart and politics. George is a white, middle class manager, desperately craving for female touch. As he falls in love with the sensuous Josephine, his inner demons take over and throw him into a maelstrom of lust, fear, love, denial, and death.
Director and co-writer Lee Delong has transformed George’s anxieties into a raw investigation of intimacy norms. Co-author Ralf Wetzel wears a mask that fits him like a glove, with transfixing power. Negotiating a labyrinth of comic situations, George reveals a surprising truth.
Co-written and directed by Lee Delong, with Ralf Wetzel. Masks by Steven Jon Cooper.
