Join us for an intimate evening celebrating the voices, stories and poetry from some of the finest women writers in Yorkshire. Writer, theatre maker and multi-slam winning spoken word poet Hannah Davies; Northern Writers Award recipient and Rise-Up! co-host Nicky Kippax, Scarborough-based writer/artist Jayne Shipley whose work is published in several zines, magazines and anthologies including Aesthetica and Strix; and songwriter-turned-fiction writer Em Whitfield Brooks who will share extracts from her debut novel, a family saga set in 18th century Scarborough, exploring the town’s rich heritage as the first seaside resort town, and the heyday of the Spa.
