Dress a Donkey to Take The Beach

To celebrate Scarborough’s beloved tradition of donkey rides on the beach, we’re excited to present a vibrant, hands-on community activity: 'Dress a Donkey to Take to the Beach!'
Working in partnership with the Learning Team at Woodend, visitors will be invited to choose a pre-made cut-out donkey and bring it to life using an array of colourful materials, fabric, sequins, tassels, and plenty more from our arts and crafts stores.
Once decorated, each donkey can be given a name and taken home as a keepsake.
All materials will be supplied by Woodend, and the session will be facilitated by our experienced Learning Team, supported by our Visitor Experience Assistants. Our Learning Team specialises in delivering engaging, heritage linked workshops and brings a wealth of experience in creating fun, meaningful activities for all ages.
