Competitions Terms and Conditions
- These terms and conditions for The Scarborough Fair’s competitions are binding on all entrants and in addition to any conditions or restrictions specific to an individual competition. By participating in a The Scarborough Fair competition or giveaway, entrants are fully agreeing and accepting the prize / giveaway terms and conditions.
- The Scarborough Fair online competitions and giveaways are open to UK (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) residents aged 18 and over only.
- No purchase necessary to enter the promotion.
- No responsibility is accepted for entries that are not received for any reason.
- Prizes can only be delivered to a valid UK address.
- The decision of the The Scarborough Fair and/or competition partner judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. If a prize becomes unavailable, The Scarborough Fair and/or competition partners may substitute an alternative at its absolute discretion, that is not guaranteed to be of equal value.
- The Scarborough Fair may terminate any competition at any time in which case they may elect not to award any prize.
- The Scarborough Fair reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and in its sole discretion.
- Only one entry per person will be counted.
- Winners will be notified by email or telephone within 5 days of the competition’s closing date. When a competition takes place on social media we will use direct messaging on the relevant platform. The Scarborough Fair will take all reasonable steps to notify the winner but cannot be responsible for the delivery of this notification. If provided contact details do not allow The Scarborough Fair to establish contact with the winner within 48 hours, another winner may be selected.
- Prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the winner.
- The Scarborough Fair is not liable for any costs, expenses or injury in any way connected with the collection or utilization of competition prizes. The Scarborough Fair shall not be responsible for, and shall not cover nor insure any participants, entrants and winners, and third parties from and against any and all actions, claims, proceedings, losses, liabilities of whatever kind and nature relating to the prizes in any way.
- Prizes are not transferable and must be used within any specified date restrictions.
- Prizes may not be exchanged for cash.
- Where the prize is a voucher from a third party, the winner will also be bound by the terms and conditions on that voucher.
- If the Prize involves an experience, the participant should be fit and in good health to participate. By entering the competition, the participant confirms that, to the best of his/her knowledge, his/her general state of fitness is good and takes full responsibility for himself/herself.
- Competitions are not open to entry by any employees of North Yorkshire Council (or their friends and family), specific partner organisations for that competition or by employees (or their friends and family) of the organisations donating the prizes in that competition.
- Personal data submitted for any competition will be handled following The Scarborough Fair privacy policy and will not be passed on to any other party, unless needed to fulfil the prize (reservations etc.) or specifically agreed at the time of entering.
- The Scarborough Fair reserves the right to request the winner to provide a written review of the Prize, if they should wish.
- You are accepting these terms and conditions by entering a The Scarborough Fair competition.
