Learning straightforward dances and the origins and different styles and techniques.
Cotswold – the traditional face of Morris where each village in the Cotswold has its own separate style. We dance the traditions of Adderbury, Bampton, Fieldtown and Bucknell villages.
Border – from the English/Welsh border regions and features dances full of exuberance. Ragged and, at times, rowdy the dances use sticks and the emphasis is on brightly coloured costumes and decorative face painting.
Musicians will demonstrate and show their different instruments and be able to talk about how they are used in traditional dance.
