A weekend extravaganza of activities that will push you to your limits,
taking place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, 11am-4pm at
the Royal Albert Park on North Bay (by Hairy Bob’s Skate Park). Unleash
your inner adventurer and discover a wide range of exciting FREE
activities at North Bay, across Scarborough and the surrounding area.

Urban Athletes

Hyper/FlareMedia Ltd

We will be bringing some of our freestyle BMX athletes to perform at
Hairy Bob’s, and offer some coaching to local BMX’ers. You might
recognise one of the riders …

Team Extreme

Get yourself to Hairy Bob’s to see our 4 pro riders (skateboard, BMX,
scooter and blades) doing tricks and inspiring the next generation.

East Coast Skate Academy

We will be running Skateboard coaching throughout the day, for beginners and those who have skated before!

Phoenix Community Park

Phoenix Community Park is back! Come and see the latest drawings for
the skatepark and pump track planned for Eastfield, as part of our
wider plans for the old Overdale school site, including a cafe and youth
hub.

Cycling

Jay's Cycle Coaching

Come along to Royal Albert Park in North Bay on Saturday 19th September to have a ride with Jay’s Cycle Coaching. Get free coaching, and try out our assault course! Both kids and adults welcome. There will be bikes and helmets available if riders don’t have their own. Ask us about our weekly club sessions too.

British Cycling qualified coach. Coaching available for both children and adults.

Richardson Cycles

Scarborough’s local bike shop for over 40 years with the owners being
the driving force from the community behind the amazing Hairybobs
Skatepark and Dirt Jumps. Come down on the Saturday and get some
hints and tips to improve your riding at Hairybobs from us and the
pros. Then on Sunday show us your best riding at the Jammiversary
and you might get a prize. Impress us the most and you could get one
of the Grand Prizes! Our owner is the MC for the day and more
importantly the man who gives out the prizes. Come and Jam with us.
We also have a stall on both days for all things bikes and scooters so
come and see us.

Watersports

Scarborough Amateur Rowing Club

Try out our rowing machine on Saturday
and take a trip out on one of our rowing
boats in North Bay on Sunday (depending
on weather conditions).

Fire Service & RNLI

Learn about how to stay safe out in the
water, and test out the fire service’s water
flume.

Scarborough Sea Swimmers

We are a passionate group of sea swimmers and cold water dippers who want to have a tidal sea pool in Scarborough so that it is safer for us to swim all year round. We will be running guided sea swims and dips over
the Extreme weekend (12pm and 2pm each day, tide and weather permitting) for anyone new to trying the water and will provide tow floats. See https://e-voice.org.uk/scarboroughseapool/ for more information about what we do.

Scarborough and District Canoe Club

We are a friendly local canoe and kayaking club welcoming everyone
who wants to try them out. We are out on the sea and rivers
throughout the year, run pool sessions in the winter, and lake sessions
in the summer, for anyone wanting to have a go; either absolute
beginners or experienced paddlers, all are welcome.

Scarborough Sub Aqua Club

Scarborough Sub Aqua Club is a friendly, welcoming diving club with a
proud history dating back to 1960. Based on the Yorkshire coast, we
offer members the opportunity to explore some of the UK’s finest
wrecks, reefs and underwater sites. Our experienced members support
divers of all abilities, from those taking their first steps underwater to
experienced technical and expedition divers. We organise regular boat
and shore dives, training sessions, social events and diving trips
throughout the year. Whether you want to develop your skills, discover
historic shipwrecks or simply enjoy diving with a great group of people,
everyone is welcome. Come to our stall on the Saturday to say hello!

Martial Arts

Krav Maga Martial Arts with No Limits

Krav Maga is a military self-defence known for its focus on real-world
situations and its extreme efficiency. We welcome both adults and
children, and aim to provide the general public a safe place to learn
real self-defence techniques, get fit and feel confident walking down
the street. Come along on the Saturday to chat to us about the sport,
watch some demos, and enter our raffle where you could win a one-
month membership!

Martial Arts with The Rising Sun Association

We are The Rising Sun Association of Martial Arts, a family-run
association established in 2018. On Saturday, we’ll be doing demos at
11.45pm, 1.45pm, and 3.45pm. Don’t miss us!

Climbing

Street Rocks

Street Rocks is bringing the excitement of climbing to Scarborough Extreme! Visit our pop up climbing wall on Saturday to test your balance and grip and meet our friendly team. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced climber, we’ll be offering fun, inclusive activities for all ages, plus information about our local regular climbing sessions, kids clubs, adult classes and community programmes. Come and discover why climbing is one of the fastest-growing sports, challenge yourself, and see how much you rock! We are also hosting a climbing competition and BBQ on the Sunday, so get yourself to The Street to take part.

National Literacy Trust

Draw your own comic book character and
see it translated onto a giant comic strip by
local artist Mary Naylor. There will also be
comics to take home, kindly donated by
Phoenix, and a collection of ‘Summer of
sport’ themed books.

North York Moors National Park

Come chat to us at our stall on the Saturday
about the many opportunities the National
Park and National trails have for people to
get out and get active.

North Yorkshire Sport and The Outdoor Partnership

Chat to our sport welfare officer about
opportunities to get active in the area.

CUS Extreme Sports

CU Scarborough will be bringing its Sport
and Exercise Science team to Scarborough
Extreme 2026, offering visitors the chance
to test their strength, power and reaction
speed using industry-standard equipment
including VALD ForceDecks, grip strength
dynamometers and BlazePods. The stand
will be delivered by academics and
practitioners working across community
health and elite sport, with information
available on CU Scarborough courses, open
days and career opportunities.

Yoga with Helen

Come along on Saturday to have a go at
yoga, meditation, or sound therapy.
Saturday FREE classes: 10:30 yoga, 11am
meditation, 11:30 sound therapy, 1pm yoga,
1:30pm meditation, 2pm sound therapy.

On Sunday, she’ll be running an indoor
zumba class and sound bathing at Wreyfield
Church Hall.

Run clubs (Rise and Shine, Scarborough Athletics Club (SAC), ULRC, Run Scarborough)

Come and meet four of Scarborough’s run
clubs at our stall on Saturday (and sign up
to one of them!) We’ll also be running a
‘Conquer the Castle’ race on Sunday, where
you’ll compete to run as many times up and
round the castle and back again in one hour
as you can. This will also be a celebration of
Scarborough 400, as the route equates to
400ft of elevation.

Hairy Bob's Jamiversary

Richardsons Cycles, Dissent Skate Shop and
East Coast Skate Academy will be hosting a
skate jam, featuring BMX, skate, scooter
and blades, with spot prizes being given out
throughout the day and grand prizes where
entrants could win a full BMX, skateboard,
scooter and other great awards. With
thanks to Chilli Pro Scooters, DMR Bikes,
Traffic Distribution, Radio BMX, We The
People, Eclat, Gusset Bikes, Kali Protectives,
Richardsons Cycles and Paired. The
soundtrack to the Jamiversary will be
brought to you by a Coastal Gathering
Allstars DJ set featuring some of the area’s
finest local talent.

Graffiti Workshops

Join in bookable children’s graffiti
workshops on Sunday at Hairy Bob’s skate
park. 10 places available for each of the two
sessions (12pm and 2pm).

Conquer the Castle

Take on the Conquer the Castle race 1pm-2pm next to Hairy Bob’s Skate Park where you’ll compete to run up and round the castle and back again in one hour, as many times as you can.

This will also be a celebration of Scarborough 400, as the route equates to 400ft of elevation.

Sea Swim

Join the group for a dip in North Bay at
12pm or 2pm.

Climbing Competition

Head to Street Rocks at The Street for a
friendly climbing competition from 12pm-
3pm, followed by a BBQ.

Sound of Scarborough - Saturday

Our live music stage will be hosting grassroots bands and singers,
courtesy of Sound of Scarborough, complementing the vibe of the
festival and bringing the atmosphere to Royal Albert Park. Come along
and listen to local acts as we support the area’s emerging talent. You
might just see the next Slam Dunk or Download star!

Coastal Gathering - Sunday

Coastal Gathering will be providing the tunes at the skate jam on the
Sunday. Expect hip-hop energy and chilled vibes.
