Observations of beach patterns, seaweed, flow and movement of sediment inspire drawings that explore natural processes such as freezing, melting, evaporation, flow patterns and sedimentation. Rachel’s works in glass stem from an interest in light over the horizon line. Her immersive experiences as a sea-swimmer also inform her work, recently having enabled her to draw from within the sea in an exploration of the liminality of water and air and the presence of the human body within that space.
