YMCA Theatre is a 290-seat training theatre. Front of house; we have a fully airconditioned theatre, fully licenced bar, candy stand and box office space. The FOH areas and front row of the theatre are wheelchair accessible. Video recording facilities are integrated into the theatre through a company called SVS. The theatre has industry-standard digital lighting control with fixed-level dimmable house lights. We have a digital sound desk with patch points around the stage including cat-6 links from the control area. Lighting and Sound are controlled from different locations. On Stage, we have a removable band pit section, a manual trap door centre stage and 26 (though some are used for fixed cloths) manual fly lines. The proscenium arch has a role down cinema screen and red house tabs. There are two raised podiums on each side and an apron in front of the proscenium arch. Backstage we have 5 dressing rooms with sinks, lights above mirrors, and wardrobe space for 5 people each. We also have a larger ensemble dressing room which holds 20 people, with lights above the mirrors.
